ABOUT ME

Don't Ever Format

by Jordan D. White

Wax-work Theme D (Don't Ever Format) - 08-05-02

Back to singing about the actual site- at least for half the song. The other 50% of this one is about some sort of pseudo (or perhaps actual) sexual relationship/desire for the site. Not autobiographical. On a more 'making of' note, I finally did a song that is what I intended it to be- ragtime. Kind of a megaphone crooner song. Musically, this piece finds it's roots in Joplin's 'Maple Leaf Rag', at least the piano part does. The spoken section just sort of... I don't know. I wrote the music first and then just thought that would be interesting before the last verse. All the music was played by my computer after I composed it in Encore. I sang the lead vocals into a piece of paper I magically transformed into a megaphone with a piece of tape. Then I filtered the whole thing to make it sound more old-timey. The record sound at the beginning and end (which actually goes through the entire thing) was sampled from the first second of KLAATU's 'Long Live Politzania'. Enjoy!

Lyrics:
Wax-work, she's the site for me
Wax-work, she never bores me
Stories, Poetry,
Got those creative projects just for me,
I never wanted any other mother lovin' website
Don't ever format the drive
That keeps my baby alive
I love her so

Wax-work, men want to date her
Wax-work, other sites hate her
She looks so divine
You've never seen such sexy web design
I never wanted any other mother lovin' website
Don't ever format the drive
That keeps my baby alive
I love her so

(spoken)
You know, with so many of our boys overseas, we here at Wax-work.com would like to recommend that all you good citizens out there invest in war bonds. It's the next best thing to joining them out there on the fron tlines, side by side with our fighting boys. God bless you, and God bless America.

Wax-work, try her and you'll see
Wax-work, she's cheap and easy
When I'm feeling down
I put her on my laptop and go to town
I never wanted any other mother lovin' website
Don't ever format the drive
That keeps my baby alive
I love her so
